You dont need to buy a part to bypass the clutch.

The clutch doesnt actually NEED to be pressed to start the car. Only the Sensor does. (A lot of people dont know this)

There is a small switch attached to your clutch that is pressed when fully enguaged. It is a simple push button.

Generally it gets a ground pulse when pressed. You can do one of two things.
A: Remove the switch and conncet the ends of the wire together (loop them together) This will not hurt the car.... dont worry.
B: Attach a Relay to your RS unit's Status Output wire that sends a ground pulse to the clutch switch.

It's pretty simple. I did the on a G35 not too long ago.

WARNING!!!!!!!! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR IN GEAR. If you Remote start the car while it's in gear it will JUMP forward. A typical RS unit will try and start the car 3 Times. A car can move a lot in 3 attempted starts.

That's enough to detroy your front end, or a garage!

If you have any questions send me a message. I'll be glad to help.

Also, if you do the above, be careful with cruise control ... As it sits now, a car is designed to automatically disable cruise control when you push in the clutch. Do the above mentioned mod, and if you press in the clutch without tapping the brake or cancellng the cruise, you will cause the engine to overrev

Directed Electronics #689M Safety Neutral Switch. Just found out about it myself. I'm getting it to make my Clifford 50.5x work with my MS3.

All Directed units have a built in Neutral Saftey. the Wire is Black/White on ALL directed products. It's in the same harnes as Tach on almost every module. (Do not confuse it with the black/white that is on the main harness. That one is domelight)

Not to mention all the 689M is is a relay. Just like the 451M for door locks.

Just wire a relay to the clutch that is connected to the status output of the directed brain. Simple, easy, and cheap.

I do this ALL THE TIME. Never had a problem.

Buy a kit for a manual transmission and you will have all parts required other than the module ($50 in Canada) required for the bypass of the ignition security system. I would NEVER bypass the neutral safety switch. That is a dangerous idea, especially since there is no reason to do it. With the proper remote start kit for a manual transmission, it is totally safe. When you arrive at your destination, push the clutch pedal in, shift to neutral, pull the parking brake on, lift your foot of the clutch pedal, then push the start button on the remote while the car is still running. The lights will flash twice , letting you know it is active. Turn the key off and remove the key. The car will stay running. After you get out, press the start button and the car will shut off and the doors will lock. The car is ready for remote start when you need it. It seems like a lot to do, but after a few times it is no big deal.

the clutch is another sensor just like the brake and cancel that disengages the cruise when pushed.

or you can just buy the correct kit and do it the right way......
