Remote Start doesn't work

Hey guys!
I have a 2007 CX-9 GT. When I try to start the car using the remote start, I hear it trying to start (like a hissing noise) but it never starts the engine. It keeps repeating this a few times. I've had this issue for a month now. Anybody come across this issue? Any assistance to help me diagnose and fix this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Does it sound like the engine is turning over at all?

try it from the driver's seat. Look and see if the key/immobilizier light flashes rapidly or comes on and goes off. If it's flashing rapidly, then the immobilizer is not being bypassed and if it's an OEM remote start, they need to fix it.
