remote bass knob location

I'm not sure that this has been mentioned before.....anyone have some recommendations for where to place the remote bass knob? I'm thinking about leaving a small hole in the fiberglass box and sticking the knob there, but I'm open to any other ideas. Ideally, I'd have the knob somewhere near the driver's seat, but I haven't really found a nice place to put it yet.

Ideally you do want it up next to you. if you're slick, you can run the wire under the carpet and do an underseat mount somewhere. Maybe even run through the center console and find a spot in the dash area, somewhere. I'm not sure how much play you get with the cable though.

You could mount it next to where the coin tray is or like Hihoslva, where the gear shift area (I want to say his is an auto), but I think it's his car where there is a knob mounted there.

I just keep all the settings on the amp flat...no bass boost, input sensitivity at 50%, no low pass filter...nothing.

I use the settings on the head unit to make changes...LPF frequency, volume, etc.

So...my suggestion is just put the knob on the box somewhere just so you have it...and don't bother running another cable or finding a good place to mount it.

I mounted mine on the trim piece below the parking brake, that way it was sort of hidden but I could adjust it easily. I can take pics if you want

Mine is near the change holder and fog light button. There's a space that seems made for it.

I am going to build a custom panel where the ashtray and lighter is and put some switches for my "show lights" and put the bass knob there.

i drilled a small hole in the eanter console and mounted the bass controller in there. its hidden until you open the console up

NO the best place for it is under your steering column, there is a u shaped peice of plastic that has a ledge just big nuff for the RF basslink metal braket, its PERFECT

I have mine on the plastic piece where the gas cap release is beside the drivers seat

Oh, yea my amp came with one of tose, huh??? I've hnestly never used it, or felt I had a need for it... If I dd, I'd imagine I would also put it in the center console compartment. flip up the armrest and have a knob... oh, and Custom fiberglass box, eH? did I manage to miss this one? you have any pics for us???

Nah you didn't miss anything...i'm still working on some ideas for the box. I guess I'm kinda stalling when I ask about where to place the remote knob. haha

Some cool places:
3) Below the interior-light dimmer in that spot that is large enough for a wallet
2) In one of the spare switch locations next to the interior-light dimmer if you can fit it.
1) If you are still using the stock head-unit...drill a hole in the cassette-deck panel and place it right there front and center. It would take some work to get the cable through the stereo system, but it would be kick-ass when its done.
