Redline SI-1 Fuel System Cleaner Q's

I bought the 15 oz. bottle of the Redline Fuel System Cleaner and it says that it treats up to 100 gallons but can be used to treat 20 gallons for a good, thorough cleaning.

Since I only pump about 12-13 gallons into my P5 (usually fill the same day the light comes on), any suggestions on whether or not I should use the whole bottle at once?

Should I add it to an empty tank just before filling? Or when exactly? I am only asking these probably stupid sounding questions because there are no proper directions on the bottle. All the other fuel additives I've used were one bottle per tank full and to be added to an empty tank, but I'm not sure about this one. Thanks in advance to any answers.

why are you using it in the first place? do you really need it?

well, if you're just curious and want to try it, pour it in close to an empty tank at the gas station and fill it up. it says up to 100gallons, b/c different cars have different tanks sizes. it will probably work in a 12-13 gallon tank. i guess you should post if you feel a difference (which you probably won't).

i'm not really expecting to FEEL a difference in any way. i bought the car with 48,000 miles on it about 3 months ago. i know it was well taken care of but i'm just making sure all is good and clean and maintained, that's all.

sorry if i sound a little defensive and thanks for the tips!

ok, didn't know you bought it used. then if it will give you some peace of mind, then do it. :)
