Redline shift boot, ebrake cover, and armrest installed...

I would've gotten the GT model but i was still upside-down in my other car. ended up paying almost as much as a new MS6 for my MS3 Sport. But I had to have it.

Thanks

Leather color is black. I had to think about that, too, before ordering. So I emailed them and found that in all of the Speed3 pics, it was black.

IKE - anything from them regarding the shift boot?

I think I'll be pulling the trigger soon.

Finally installed my TWM SS and Redline boots (haven't installed the center console boot yet -- it was too cold and my fingers couldn't take it).
When I ordered from Redline I mistakenly ordered 2.5" shorter rather than the correct 1.7" shorter -- can you tell? It may be a little tight in 4th & 6th, but I think I'll stick with it for awhile. Thoughts?
I also think I need to tweak the plastic clip for a tighter/cleaner joint between the boot and knob......but again, I'll save it for a warmer day.

Sweet! The shifter boot looks like it may be stretched a little bit, but it looks like it'll be fine. Sure does look perfect when it's in neutral. Have fun getting the armrest on :)

I got the stuff...but

Sweet - post pics, Antonio!

I'm having a little bit of an issue with the armrest cover. Does it have a front or back or does it matter how you install it. I ask becasue the stiching isn't riding the edge of the wrmrest as nicely as the picts I see in this thread. The front kinda veers off to the left and right while the back has littlove handles on each side. I'm wondering if I installed it in reverse.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There is a front and back. The back has a steeper drop off and the front is a gradual slope down. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah it makes sense thanks

Unfortunately I put it on backwards (it was late when I did it) and when I removed it I tore the elastic band from the leather. I have to sew it back tonight.

Dammit!

Oh snap. You must've really put some gorilla strength into installing it. I know all of us who have put it on killed our fingers doing so, but wow. How bad is the damage? Any pics?

Wait - and you gots sewing skillz y0?

Yeah I'm an idiot.

Of course. How else is he going to fix the hem in his skirts?

I don't wear Skirts they bunch up on me. :-)

The damage isn't horrible, just about 4 inches of elastic came apart. My wife is going to help me sew it tonight. I was going to just leave it as is but that would have annoyed the hell out of me everytime I opened the center console cubby. Plus it would have slowly spearated to the point where the whole elastic would have come off.

I was actually looking to figure out a way to separate the console cushion from the subframe and tuck the leather cover between the cushio and the subframe. But it looks like the cushion is affixed to the frame via a lip and channel that runs along the edge. Afraid if I pull it off I'll never get it back on. Or I'll break something.

Where did you see this

The best I found was some dude undid the clips that hold the top cover to to the hinged part. I believe it involves carefully removing clips and screws. I haven't attempted it yet.

I'd be interested in finding this and doing the same thing. Was it on another forum? DId the guy also buy the Redline products?

Yes got it, thanks

Yes. On another forum. PM'd you.

I'll read it tonight.

In the meantime my wonderful wife fixed the rip for me. Evidentally she didn't have a lot of faith in my sewing skills :-). I installed the armrest cover correctly last night.

I'll post picts this weekend.

Thanks again for the link.
