Quality looks excellent. I love the blue color of this leather. Now I'm off to install it!

And here it is installed.

Installation is pretty easy. Just use a screwdriver to undo the first clip on the shifter surround (don't worry, you won't mar the plastic trim at all), and the rest just pulls off. Then you unscrew the silver bezel and replace the old boot with the new one. Although this isn't mentioned in Redline Good's instructions, I tore off the plastic round thing (IDK what to call it) that's glued onto the old boot and slipped it onto the shift lever before installing the new boot because it acts as a spacer for proper fitment. Once it's done, the whole boot assembly looks seamless.

As you probably noticed, the color looks so different between these two pics that it almost looks like a different boot entirely. This is just because my camera is trying to compensate for the low light level in the cabin. In real life the color falls between the first pic and the second.

[edit] I did a color correction in photoshop to give you a better idea of what it actually looks like.

I can't see the installed pics. I was wondering if they came with something around the shaft for the 2, I have there boot in my prelude and was a little disappointed that there was no ring there otherwise I am very happy with it.

I changed the host for the pics, so hopefully they work for you now.

The boot doesn't come with a ring, but you can just tear it off of the old boot and it works fine. Zero fitment issues.

That Looks really good. I cannot believe that anyone on the forum stumbled across this sooner. I just ordered a perforated black leather one with red stitching. I also ordered an expensive AutoExe shift knob with leather and red stitching. Ill post pics when i recieve them!

There was one person on this forum who I know did it first. Theirs is the picture you see on the website when you go to order. They were the first ones to do it, so they got the whole boot for free. Pretty sweet deal.

I was wondering when someone would pick up one of these. I had one on my old P5 and I currently have the shift and e-brakes boots on my RX-7. I'd love to grab one for the 2 (black with red stitching or piping) but I keep telling myself I need to finish the RX-7 before spending money on the 2.

I say the same thing and I still end up spending 10x as much on the 2...
