So is it possible to redirect the HID beams in the halogen housings in a 2010 Mazda3? I love how my HID's work and how bright they are, but they don't really cast out that far. I have been wondering if it is possible to raise the housing? If it is possible or any other method that would be a permanent fix would be very helpful. Maybe a write up to explain on how it is done would be very much appreciated.

You can re-aim your lights. Check your owners manual on where the adjusters are located on the car. The best process to aim them is to park facing a wall. Measure from the ground to the middle of your headlight heightwise. Now make a mark on the wall 1"-2" below your height measurement. Now pull the the car back about 25 feet and aim your headlights for your marks on the wall. This is how HID projectors are aimed for best distance without blinding oncoming drivers from the cutoff being too high. I know this thread is old but I figured if you haven't been able to re-aim them, this will help you, as well as anyone else looking to do the same thing.

I'm still trying to locate the light adjusters, I looked through the manual and it didn't mention them at all. Do you know where they are at?

Here is a quick write up for 2nd Gen Mazda3's it does not matter if your lights are Halogen or HID. There are two silver adjustment screws, they are located in the middle of your light in between your lows and brights. I will post photos of it tomorrow, one side of the screw is flat the other side is toothed. For best results be about 25ft from a wall and preferably on a flat service. To lower your lights turn clockwise, to raise to counterclockwise. It will take several turn to move it into the desired position you want it at.

First time I did it just a bit ago I raised it so much it was going more into the trees, so second try I lowered it about 3 inches on the wall and now my lights cast out a lot better than they did before I started messing with them.
