Red MS3...Black ASA 18"s

I got some new rims for the Mazda, when it was nice enough outside I gave her a good wash and snapped some photos. Check em out.

The rims are ASA AR1's, 18x7.5" w/ 52mm offset. I mounted the factory tires on them.

I've posted them on a couple other forums, why not here?!

That's a pretty common perception, actually.

The polished lip takes up about an inch of space on the face of the wheel. Thus the spokes are shorter than they would be on an regular wheel. It makes the wheels look smaller. But I really like the polished lip look, so whatcha gonna do?

nice wheels man, not too big. i like smaller wheels...plus they dont slow you down as much as big heavy ones. now just get the calipers painted red.

You know, I don't know if I would run the red lip around the wheels permenantly, but Duplicolor makes 'CarArt' temporary paint that washes off with soap and water...might be interesting to use as a test for a few days.

I had a Scirocco back in the day with a set of black tuner wheels with red lips. The lips were anodized and turned pink after a while. That went over like a turd in a punchbowl. I ended up painting them all black. Kinda like my set up now.
