if it was so easy then we would see people w/ RWD proteges, I dont think there's a single one on here and there are some serious tuners on here....he was talking out of his ass.
o and some one told me its not hard to switch the four door to a rwd because its already set for that all you have to do is switch the chasy and the engine to a rwd engine
IS THIS TRUE? i thought he was full of it and didnt know the protege.

so the hump down the middle of the car is for what? thats the only reason i thought it was possible..whats the maxout put of the stock protege engine with mods?if it at much then i should start looking for at least a better engine right?

the hump is for the exhaust, thats where its run if you look.... and there's plenty of power to be had, all depends on how much you wanna spend....seriously, you need to search. these answers are out ther....

converting it to rear wheel drive is not easy at all the 13b rotary engine if thats what one you want to put in has 2 turbos dont try to add another the turbo rotaries have enough problems with boost i am a real fan of rotary technology and im glad they still make it but in the protege you would have to match up the shifter and it doesnt seem like it would fit you would need a custom drive shaft and you would brobly have to cut a huge hole down the middle of the car and build a "hump" or the driveshaft may be dragging on the ground they do have jdm proteges with awd i would love to see a build like that im not to sure on how to find those transmissions and differentials but its worth a shot or try and put the KL-ZE in like someone else mentioned its a great motor and it should fit alot easier then the rotary idea

This thread makes my head hurt. Subbing for possible future pwnage.

I think you need to start hanging out with new people because 90% of what you've "heard" is complete bulls***. As mentioned several times now; do a search! Take some time, browse the Protege sections. I guarantee you will learn many things.

lol good cover guys...he'll never find out about our vip forum where we post up our mad JDM v12 and rotary swaps...

did you see the new v30 i just dropped in with 30 superchargers? (one for each cylinder)...man its blowing the doors off of lambos 24/7

These cars don't have rotary engines though! If you're knowledgeable with DSMs or Toyotas or whatever, you should know just about all there is about these cars in theory. You just need to learn the particulars of the FSDE engine by reading up and doing research.
