I buy the kind that helps prevent my motor from falling out of the car, lol.

That would be Chevron.

PS incase you didnt get it that shed some light on the mount failures we are all afraid of around here.

gee what-a-jerk.

I used shell cuz I got that card thing, but I rather use chevron. When I have cash for gas, I used chevron, way better than shell. Citgo, well, lets not turn this into a political arguement/thread, but I'm from Venezuela, so you might know where I'm coming from. Citgo=Evil.

gee I didnt know that choosing one type of gas over another makes me a jerk... im sorry if im being insensitive to your concerns, but there are 4 stations near my house and work, shell, citgo, exxon and texaco. I dont think that any of those are going to make a difference in the way my car runs, so i will definitely be choosing the cheapest of those four

show me a study that says certain brands of gas (same octane) will have an adverse effect on the way a car runs and i will think about something other than price when buying gas.

I can tell you that I have used arco in other cars and you will get less MPG. I am not sure what they do to that gas but I wont put it in my MS3. I know when I had my supercharged tacoma I couldnt use that cheap Arco, vallero, ect or it would cause the engine to ping.

OK, in respect to the first paragraph. I didnt really mean to call you a jerk, it was all in joke, but now that you mention that, you are looking at it the wrong way. Choosing a gas over another for economic purposes does not make you a "jerk," but not caring who that is funding does. By using Citgo, you are funding a dictator that has killed a lot of people and its running a country to the ground, a country that has supplied the US with a lot of amounts of gas for ages, still he manages to insult the US and support our enemies. Do a research on this guy and you will see. But I guess all this goes out in vain, cuz I'm sure most of yall dont care.

As for the second paragraph. Although it is not sure, Shell has this commercial were it shows how your car's pistons would look clean as compared to the dirty ones that used other gasolines after running a few miles...now, this is of course a commercial from Shell, but in order for it to be approved/aired, it has to be legit. Granted, Shell doesnt have the cleanest/best reputation out there, but hey, it aint that bad either. Still, Chevron FTW!

Dont worry, i dont think youre an e-bully or anything haha. I checked out some info on wikipedia and I see that youre right, it is pretty messed up whats goin on down there. I feel sorry for the country and its people. I certainly hope that they get out of that dictatorship soon. Not to belittle that problem, but it will still not stop me from filling up at citgo.

ive seen that commercial, as well as chevron with techron commercials. My personal experience just tells me that it doesnt make that big of a difference. I used to only use sunoco ultra94 in my bmw, then moved away from where there were sunoco stations. I started using all different types of 93 octane gas and did not see any fall off in performance.

I've been going to Hess lately. I've had no issues, the car pulls strong and I can't complain at $2.99/gallon for 93.

I couldn't agree more. I fill at any station, and my main reason is price(for premium), But some stations like Valero I won't stop at. I stopped once with my maxima, and I can honestly tell you that it sucked a quart of tank in about 30 miles of normal highway driving. (eek2)

Racetrack

They have Racetrack here (name might have been changed to Raceway), and they always have twenty cars in line because their gas is usually 20~30 cents cheaper.

I personally use Shell. *^_^*

Hi all-

I'm a noob to this forum, but not to motorsports. I have always had good luck with gas stations that sell LOTS of premium. The brand is not that important, but how quickly that gas station sells it, is. No matter what brand you put in your tank, make sure it is fresh! Watch your local gas station on a Saturday to see how many people actually buy premium.
