recall + check engine light

I took care of the recent recalls on my cx-7 this morning, now my check engine light came on this afternoon?

I have about 33,000 miles on my cx-7 which I bought in June of 06, and had 2 recalls so far and 2 check engine lights come on including the one today.

Im kind of worried what is going to happen in the long run with this car, granted nothing major has happened with the car but did I make the right call buying a mazda?

I have seen the dealer way too often in the past couple of months.

I have owned a saab, jeep, toyota over the years (all new) and never had any issues with them.

Early build cars have minor teething problems. Once fixed I expect a long and uneventfull life for these vehicles.

Dont stress it man. The first year of ANY make has its bugs. Nothing major has been an issue with any Mazda. You might have a few little things in the begining but expect not as many in the long haul as other mfgs.
