Rear window washer spray?

Just wanted to confirm with other owners (as I've had mine only a week) but does the rear washer actually spray (like the front) or does it just send a stream of washer fluid? I'm wondering if my sprayer is clogged or not because all I'm getting is a stream of fluid against the window.

I've used it a few times, it was more like a stream than a spray. I don't think that is uncommon for a rear washer.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to replace the spray nozzle with one which suits. I've always liked the ones I've seen on some Fords which cover the entire windscreen with droplets. Not sure how they do that...

The last car I had with an actual high pressure mist nozzle was a 1993 Mazda MPV. It had its own rear reservoir and dedicated pump. Since then, every car with a rear windshield wiper has been a slow stream. Then again, the MPV was the only one with its dedicated reservoir and pump.

Stream. But since the wiper does the work of moving the liquid around to clean, there's no real difference vs a spray.

I'd assume they attempt to keep the spray angle pretty narrow, and avoid misting the fluid too much as apart of design, seeing as most people will likely use the wash function while the vehicle is in motion.
The rear window is a low pressure zone...but still. XD
