You have to remember that any bushing in the original stock location will be subjected to linear forces. Those forces would most certainly cause the squeaking sounds. I thought about making the bracket to utilize the stock bushings but soon realized that it would not be an easy task. I am also not convinced that the stock bushings are a good design. That lining is not designed to hold grease, as a matter of fact, Mazda recommends them to be installed with NO grease. IMO the grease increased the rate at which the lining breaks down. I know this because when my stock bushings began squeaking I added grease and within a week the liners were torn out.

If you really wanted to use the stock bushings just take the bushing brackets into a machine shop and get them bent to a 90 degree angle.

I would be down for a set. :D Im on my 6th set of bushings from the dealer and its going back next week for the 7th set.

You could also just use a vice and hammer.

I would buy the brackets from you and I would prefer a complete kit including bushings and hardware.

When I got my Delsing it did not include the brackets or hardware, so my plan is to sell my product with all the hardware and the option of bushings or no bushings.

Update

Product design complete and I should have the first prototype in my hands within a week. That prototype will be shipped to Texas for DOT testing and evaluations. If the test come back with positive results and no change to the design is required the finished product will be available within a month.

My AMM status will be activated soon.

Good job! But it looks like the extension on the bracket may be a little thin for the amount of force that will be applied.

Which picture were you looking at? The only bracket pic I found on the site was the original Racing Beat design.

those brackets would work fine. They are the ones designed by Racing Beat, the very company hired by Mazda to design the MP3/MSP suspension...

They do look thin, but I would have to imagine with the knowledge and money Racing Beat must have; they tested and made sure the brackets would pass...

Thanks guys for visiting the site. The forces applied to the bracket are in and up. The extension merely prevents the bracket from moving inwards. So as long as the piece does not compress, which steel won't, it does not have to be that strong. Even Delsing's extension is 16 guage while the rest of the part is 12 guage.

Looks like I will have my prototypes in my hands by the end of tomorrow. Once I have them I will post up some pics. The extension I have designed is not the final design. There are 2 more changes needed to the entire setup but those won't be made until it goes into production or totally fails DOT testing. (Which I don't expect)

I can't wait for this. Very encouraging. Good stuff.(cheers)

you bet! Dont worry, I'm not gonna make them to sell, but i have everything to make them because of where i work. I custom make and fab stuff all day. Heck i made my entire turbo manifold, "s" pipe, down pipe, 3" exhaust, all my intercooler piping, intercooler end caps, you get the point. I could make these in an evening. heck i can probably get them powdercoated for free throughn some connections.

Thanks for the idea!

Wow must be nice to have that kind of access to a shop... sounds like a dream come true. I had a local shop make me a CAI for the K&N cone filter I had, saved me over a $100 compared to to the Injen CAI.. So ya I'd use the shop too, if I had it.
