2002 Mazda Protege5
2003 protege 5 with just under 100k miles. Got a clunk in what seemed to be the passenger/rear strut area. The car was due for new struts considering they were all original and riding poorly.

Parts replaced so far:
Isolators
Struts
Strut mounts
Sway bar end links (sway bar bracket bushings greased)

There was also a bad rubbing sound which a new wheel hub/bearing got rid of, but this clunk won't go away.

Any advice?

Thanks!!

You can get polyurethane bushings that may last a little longer, otherwise oem will work fine. Don't know the tq spec, just make them tight.

any torque spec on the end link nuts?

Whee, just replaced my stabilizer links tonight (for the right size this time). Guessed 35 and got it right \o/

Is there anyway you can reproduce the noise, or have someone ride in the back and listen for it? Its the easiest and cheapest way to locate the problem.
