A few months ago I started hearing clunking, and rattling in the rear right of my 2003 protege. I figured the body rusted away around the shock. The noise settled down a lot over the next few weeks.
Today I took apart the parcel shelf to get a better look. It's a little different than what I found posted already. Seems something rusted away on the strut/shock. What should one replace in this situation?
It caught onto the body of the car, which settled the noise down quite a bit
