My car has been leaking oil between my trans and block. i know its not trans fluid but oil. the clutch has also been slipping when i turn the boost up and I havent had my clutch (Exedy Stage 1) for more than two months before i had blown my motor. If my rear oil seal is leaking, could that be the cause of my clutch slipping? I just put 3000 miles on the new motor and just changed to synthetic. When i drained the oil it only drained out 3 quarts. If my oil seal is bad, could my clutch be fixed if theres oil on it? or would i need a new one. thanks

how high do you turn the boost? if youre forged and have all those mods you might be exceeding the torque rating of a stage 1 clutch.
and how high is the boost when you... well don't turn it up?
if theres oil on the clutch, im pretty sure you just have to replace it. i think it would start to slip below 10psi though.
cant help you on the other stuff.

clutch is toast if there is oil on it. although the seal would have to be leaking alot for it to get on the clutch. if the vc gasket is leaking alot it could also leak onto the pressure plate. it does sound like you have a serious leak for sure. Good luck

im running it at around 7 psi.. before i ran at 10, if i turn up anything higher than 7 it slips. since i would have to replace the clutch should i just upgrade to the exeddy stage 2?

Definitely sounds like a rear main seal. Cheap part, but pain in the ass for labor.

You or your mechanic will no more when you R&R the seal. The stage one should be fine. Oil on the flywheel could be your only issue. My stock clutch does not slip at those psi amounts and I doubt a stage 1 would that wasn't sitting in front of an engine with a compromised seal.

besides the rear main...what else could cause oil to be leaking between the trans and block

Nothing really in that area. Did you follow the required break-in procedure when you had the new clutch installed? Failure to do so could also be the cause of the clutch slipping under boost. Time to teardown and have a look at that seal, flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disc.

the clutch was broken in before my motor blew. im waiting to hear back from shops on the cost to do it.
