Rear MM Advice

2008.5 MS3
Car is 2008.5 Speed 3 with MSCAI intake and Magnaflow CBE, i want to change out the rear motor mount for my next mod. I want as little vibration as possible, does anybody have any suggestions on what will give me the most performance with as little vibration as possible. I have looked at the one from CP-E and the Corksport inserts, not sure what to choose. Any help would be appreciated.

Plenty of threads on this...just don't use the site search, search google for "Mazdas247 MS3 RMM" or something like that...Just wanted to tell you nicely before others chime in.

To answer your question though, I'd say the 60 duro CP-E would be best for you-the inserts are not that much of an upgrade, yet the 60 CPe isn't a whole lot stiffer than the inserts. So you get a gain in performance--and from what I understand little to no vibration. I do not own this piece, I have a TRZ dogbone, which is pretty severe on the vibes but I like the feel I get when shifting! It tightens up 1-2 and 2-3 shifts dramatically...

...And leaves you wanting to change your tranny oil and install a short shifter to complete your shifting upgrades!

Thanks for the tip, I did try the site search first and came up with nothing. Yeah I was waiting for people to chime in, I know how they are on this forum.

I have the cp-e 65 duro and there is virtually no vibes. At the break in period, you will feel slight vibes with the a/c on and a bit at idle. After about 200-300 miles of driving, you should feel barely any vibes at all.

please post up about your cp-e install experience along with pic's if you can. i'm also hoping to get to this mod soon. thx.

good choice i just got this mount for my 3, makes a huge difference youll love it.

very easy install

YIKES, who said the CS inserts makes no difference? It sure does and it will not vibe like all other semi solid replacements...I ran CS inserts in my car for 2 years with NO issues, only reason I went with a 65 duro CPE RMM is because with Reflash and increased torque I would need a better alternative, but I'm going back to stock so if your in the market for one I will be taking mine off the next chance I get and putting back my stock mount with CS MMI..

Really recommend the Street Unit part. Same or less level of vibes as CP-e, much stronger part long-term, in my view. This part takes a beating like you would not believe.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think that the SU part is stronger? I doubt there is much difference and I went with the CP-e part since it was one piece.

I just installed the CP-e 75 duro one last week
when I order the mount from SU, they didnt have any 60 duro ones in stock
was told it will be out of stock for a while
so I went with 75 one
and......yeah....it vibrates a lot, especially when Ur engaging into first gear
less vibration comparing to that when idling
but U really floor the gas, it holds the engine in place pretty
so far.....its still vibe-happy I'll update after the break in period

the only reason i changed the mount is because stock one cant handle the boost
after I got a reflash with Cobb AP

the CPE uses bonded elastomer rubber which isn't the best idea, in my view, for the severe duty the RMM gets here. Poly is tougher and more consistent over time. SU uses a poly bushing which, in addition to the benefits outlined, can be quickly and cheaply replaced, refreshing the mount completely or, changing it's character for track duty.

you also have to remember the mount has a wear in period hellyeah...after about 1000 or so miles the vibes should become less noticable
