rear knocking

about a week ago i hit a pothole with my rear passenger wheel about 30mph..after i hit the pothole i notice a knocking coming from the rear passenger wheel only when i made a right turn, i went back home and i checked the wheel and i had a flat tire..so i assumed that knocking was because i was driving with a flat tire..next day i replaced the rim with the 16" mp5 stock rim(currently i have aftermarket 17") i drove with the stock rim for about 3 days and i had no knocking problem, so today i went and bought a new tire for my 17" rim and i installed the rim back into my car and the knocking problem came back and that only happens when i turn to my right...does some one know whats the problem??

^ did you inspect the wheel for any damage? Odd that it only happens when you turn though. If it were me, I would pull the wheel/tire off and inspect it for any bends/cracks. If you can rotate it to the other side or to the front you could see if the "knocking" moves when you move that wheel...

I had a bent wheel on my BMW for about 2 months. It was on the inside and I just thought I had lost a wheel weight...

Good luck!

Sadly, it sounds like a bent rim to me. If you hit the pothole hard enough to pop a tire, it probably bent the rim as well.

^or bent the upper and or lower control arm. Take to a tire/alignment shop and just tell them 'i hit a pothole, please inspect it'. Don't pre-diagnose for them.
