rear ended last night

sorry to hear about yur accident, i woulda ******* killed him, sad to see a fellow blk p5 wrecked, glad yur ok buddy, oh and nice rims

most inportantly, be thankful you werent hurt. unforunately, that seems to be about the only happy part of this story. i cant believe there were no tickets given or anything. did they even approach the guy? was he given a sobriety test or did they not even know he was drunk?

wow.

my advice is to "amend" your story, particularly the part where you said you grabbed onto the DUI drivers car, as it may imply that you ended up causing some/all of the incident (i.e. if you didn't "interfere", the rest of it wouldn't have happened).

ya exactly, you got out , but he took off and you saw him hit the other car

I don't see any license plate shots of the VW. Did you get ANY of the guy's information?

I can't believe the cops did jack. There seem to be a good number of witnesses in the pictures, too. None came forward? The cops didn't ask them?

Was this coming back from Hot Import Nights?

very sorry to hear/see this wilson :( let me know what i can do for you if anything at all

The police may still be investigating and may issue tickets later (it sounds like ass, but it isn't the suburbs and that's the way CPD sometimes does things.)

I'd suggest doing what you can to get copies of the police report(s) - in Chicago, it'll take a few weeks. You can get details that way and the pursue it through the courts (if you so choose) or insurance.

Again, get your story right: don't make it seem like you had ANYTHING to do with this, including "pursuing" the driver after he hit you. Given enough witnesses - looks like a busy area - the liability may come back on you. Tread lightly....

the police have lost 40 reports and mine is one of them, i just drop the car off at the body shop. ballpark of $5000 to fix it. i have to go thur my insurnace, about 2 weeks to fix it if the insurnace gives it the go.

Get yourself an attorney to look into it. All of this is bulls*** and shouldn't happen.

Dimitirios u may feel that i caused the second accident, i dont feel that way. why i spent the last 4yrs working onthis car, all the mods i have done i did almost all the work. when i boostd the car i put my marriage on the line to do it. this car means the world to me, and i was not going to let some asshole hit her and leave like she is just a car. this car is my baby and i would do it again i feel that i made the right move.

i am going to see one on friday for personal injury

How about an attorney that is going to look into negligence on behalf of that police department, or during the process after the initial accident, I'm telling you they are at fault just like that jackass that hit you.

Wilson, I never said you did and I hope you don't think that I implied that. All I'm saying is that in your initial post, you stated that you went after the driver, grabbed onto his car, etc.

A lawyer/police/witnesses, etc may have a different perception. Their perception may be that because you "chased after him/them", you may have caused him losing control and hitting the other cars. That said, he should be liable for your rearending as it occured first. Be ready to back up why you did what you did and get an attorney.

I know why you did it [chase after him] - I'd feel the same way.
