Rear Camera not in Reverse

Is there a way I can turn on the rear camera without going into reverse?

If you go into diagnostics mode following those instructions and then hit 92 it should bring up the camera, I haven't played around with it, but I believe the camera will stay on until you hit power.

Let us know if you are able to get it to work. It looks like someone in that other thread said that they were able to get it to work, but that when you change gears into reverse the diagnostic screen comes on.

It works, but you have to turn the radio off again to get out of it (and cannot adjust volume, etc, while in that mode).

if you want it so you can monitor things youre towing, you could run a 12v wire to the reverse gear input on the deck and set up a switch. Activate the switch and it will thing the car is in reverse and turn on the camera. Set up a diode of course so the 12v supply doesnt head back down the wires, only to the deck. It may sound complicated, but its actually really simple.
