Reality: What have you been killed by?

With all the kill stories and the questions of there authenticity lately, I thought some self realizing "being" smoked stories would be a nice change.

I have 2 for the MP3-Turbo:

1. On the high way about to get on an exit ramp a 1.8T VW golf pulled beside me. It was fairly decked out. I did nothing to motion the other drive to take off and nor did he. However we both went for it. I was originaly thinking, I hope I get in front qucik as the 2 lane on ramp drops to 1 lane QUICK! I didn have to worry, by the time I hit 2nd gear he was already on the damn highway (wow)
His blow off valve was so loud I heard it in my car form a 1/8th mile away with the windows up. That was the fastest damn car I ever encountered. A friend of mine claims he met the guy and says he has dynoed at close to 500 whp!

2. On the highway I was stuck behind some dick as was the crx driver infront of me. I pulled out when clear and passed them both topping to 90 then slowing down. The crx fallowed suit and zipped in front of me. I sped up a bit to challenge and he jumped into the slow lane and waited till I got next to him. I down shifted to 3rd and was giving it the cars all, I hit 4th and then looked over the CRX was right there. The CRX diver then, very politely, waved and was GONE!!!!!!!!
I was going close to 100 and this guy just pulled away like I wasn't even moving. With in a few seconds he was several tractor trailer lengths ahead of me. He slowed down to exit and I returned the wave.

yeah i bet that CRX had a turbo integra type r engine or some other turbo swap. Those things can be quick. I know personally of a local shop swapping in a teg GSR engine N/A pushing around 300+ we rebuilt the head for them. It was a ugly ass car, all primered grey, but it was fast as hell. I have switched jobs and havent kept track of it though.

Raced my friend in his 2002 Audi S4 Quattro. I never had a chance. I thought the extra weight in his car would slow him down. My only consolation was that the price of my car, including all mods - is still less than half of what he paid. However, if I wasn't in an automatic, I think I could have given him a better run.

Yeah, - I saw him 2 nights ago, went for a ride with him. He's got a stick, I'm not sure if I could take his car yet. I'll wait until it's dyno tuned.

well, I lined up against an integra type R with IHE, and a short shifter, we gave her a go, I acctually had a better launch then him, and was ahead by about half a car length until I shifted into out of second, at that point, he still had a lot of RPM to still play with, and as he wound out each gear, he put more distance inbetween us, prolly 2-3 car lengths by the time we stopped....we lined it up again, and I ran it at 6 psi, instead of 4, and it made little difference, I just couldn't beat him!

Excluding my dads corvette, I've lost to only two domestics however, when I first got my car back, my buddy and I ended up at a stoplight next to each other, we threw it down, and the torque of his machine was too much, even with my superior driving skill, and I think I woulda beat him easily in a 1/4 mile, but once he got ahead of me, he cut in front of me, knowing his car would have less pull, and mine jst screams as the rpms go higher.. that was an 89 trans am gta btw, auto, shift kit, runs low 14's maybe high 13's.

And my one last loss was to a camaro SS, a 97, bone stock 6 spd....we lined up, both gave her when the light changed, and I was ahead, but by the time we were both in second we were tight, the shift to third, still close, but by the mid-end of third he was pulling away, the protege no longer had a chance

My kill stories? God where to begin. I dont really have any interesting stories. Here's a list.

SVT Cobra (He kicked my ass so bad he probably didnt even know i was racing)

74 Cutlass Supreme w/ built 455 and Holly carbs. (I kicksd his ass off the line cause he just sat there holding a burnout for a good 5 seconds)

My killed stories? Well, a 1994 Subaru SVX LE, and a 1988 RX-7 Turbo II, both on the track, as driven by my room mate. Hehee. =) I guess both of those are a tad more powerful than my car, though. I don't really race on the streets. I just accelerate somewhat fast sometimes. Hehe. Well, as fast as a Pro5 can, anyway.

for the most part i pick my targets.

but the first few days i was boosted i was running about 4psi

was going home one day when this civic was just cruising along. nice car not riced out but had a nice exhaust tone. so i decide to blast right by him. i said **** it let him know that the little monster mazda is around. well wouldnt you know it the next light turns red~!
he looks over at me. lokk over at him and he laughs the little bastrd.
light turn green and we both take off. had in infirst and then he just kept pulling from there. lost by about 2 car lengths.
pull up to the next light. hes on the opposite side now and says ""so you got a turbo in that thing cause i could hear it when you went by""
said yeah . about 5 psi.
little prick sais ""i just put the supercharger in my car couple of weeks ago""

OOOHHHHH
well i felt better that the civic didnt beat me stock.
but i can safely say it is the only one to this day i have lost too.
we will meet again!!

well, for opposite kill stories, Me and jeremy (aka mp5raycer) were out cruising around in the msp, we saw this srt4, got the guy to pull over talked to him a little and he asked if we wanted to have some fun, we were like sure, hit up pellisippi parkway here in knoxville headed toward alcoa, we pulled onto the onramp first, srt-4 right behind us. Pulled up onto the parkway. Let him get up next to us, started from a roll at about 40 mph, and we both punched it, supprisingly we were ahead of the srt 4 by about a car length and suddenly msp hits 130 and shhhhhhhh hit a cut of some kind it wasn't boost related fuel cut. and about that time the srt flew by. We were boosting about 13 psi in the msp using joe p's defenser. Now if there is just a way we could get rid of the damn speedo cut... oh well...
also i have lost to a evo on numerous occasions, i have yet to find one while i was boosting 13 psi....

Good to know the guy I work with that says he knows VW and s*** is a yutz. Like I metnioned I hd no clue who the guy was just someone claimed he had alot of power.

I lost to a ford lighting from a roll 2 by 1/2 car length, but i would've taken him but i had my air on and there was 4 ppl including me in the car 1 of them which was 290 lbs. thats been my only loss

WHat is letting you run 18 PSI? Spoolins emanagae or something?

nope i wish! Its a bleeder valve it gives me nasty boost spike, it really goes to 20 psi and then drops to 18 psi all the way to redline, its a really nice trick but im not sure if the internals on MSP can take it. If anything try it buy a T and a check vavle w/ a foot of vaccum hose and you connect it to the vaccum line of the wastegate.
