Got my steelies and winter tires on, ready to gobble up some snow and ice. So far they have acquitted themselves extremely well. I was hesitant about the tire itself, being more of a budget brand, but it honestly lives up to the reviews on Tire Rack and the car feels absurdly confident. My stock "all seasons" were garbage compared to this!

the combination i chose is a 16x6.5 steely with a 205/60R16 Altimax Arctic tire - studdable if i want to piss off the cops. Tire Rack does not list the combo for the Mazda5 or Mazda3, but does for the Mazdaspeed3, which is where I ordered it under. Fits perfect, a tad close thanks to my drop :(, but does not rub and tracks great.

The price is really good for this combo, so if any of you locals want a set let me know as I have a decent discount through Tire Rack.

looks good!! That's not your normal driveway. Did you move into the new place already?

thats my inlaws house actually. was dropping the munchkin off this morning when i took that.

Nice. I might have to hit you about those snow tires. I bought some off of craigslist that happen to be for an IS300 same bolt pattern but the Lug and centerhole or different. I might just pick up some steelies for the ladies car and mount them on her galant and find some 16's for me instead. I think I'll have to dump another $200 in these to actually use them, not worth it boreing it out and getting lexus lugs.

I've got those Alimax Artic tires on my MS3, though my winter rims > your steelies Ken. =D

Man I'm jealous you locals can get a discount...I need to get some winter tires bad but even the steelies are a bit expensive from tirerack.com
