Any of your rotary nuts hear of a RayJay blow through turbo system for first gen rx7s? Any thoughts on them?

i have no rotary experience but I did have one of the highest hp blow through carbbed mustangs (2.3L).

It's not easy at all to tune or get to run smoothly. If you run more than just a little boost you won't be able to vent the boost without damage to the carb and specifically the power valve. I went through 4 Holley carbs all specifically built for blow through and draw through applications. I was only running 9.5psi before it started popping power valves. This may be more of a draw through problem but I don't see how as the throttle plate is at the bottom of the carb just as it is on a drawthrough. The boost backing up through the carb, just those 3" or so, is what kills it.

Just my $0.02 but what do I know about forced induction?!?!?

hope that info helps....it's been my experience that blow through and draw through carbbed turbo's are too difficult to work with and produce much less power than a simple EFI turbo. (hence my 2.5L pinto "big-boy" swap....302whp)

i was just curious - i had a hard time wrapping my mind around this type of setup actually working and have seen a few on ebay while i search for a new way to power my rx7

womp did you say?? Why not do a neat all motor build with some new lightweight rotors from the Rx8....or do one of those "cube-upgrades to a 1.5L" That should give you the grunt down low and the lightweight will help out up top.
