With my 2014 Mazda3 auto, I get a rattling sound from the engine bay when stopped and engaged in gear. It disappears when I put it on neutral, or start driving. Do you guys also get this?

Just got an OBD2.

When at working temperature (~96C), stopped with transmission on D, vehicle idles at ~500 to 550rpm. Vibration can be heard/felt. It definitely is not the radiator fan. It's the engine idling really low (I guess this saves gas or something?)

When engine is a bit colder (like now it's almost winter) at ~86C, stopped with transmission on D, idles at ~600rpm, which feels smooth. On neutral, it's at 650 rpm, also very smooth.

Check the entire exhaust system. Often, a component is vibrating against another component. Of course, it's far easier to bring it to a shop that has a lift.
