Long story short I have had my transmission replaced for a audible whine noise as I accelerated and the noise would lower when slowing down. That noise is now gone. I purchased this car used.. Its excellent on Gas, but there are a few annoyances..

I noticed a faint buzzing sound when I push on the gas or tap it. It seems to be more audible on the driver side. I can hear it if I quickly step on the gas or tap on it. I am taking it to Mazda as I am still under power terrain. I have a 2.0 Automatic, 2013 GS. Is this is a normal sound for the engine to buzz. I understand CVT/Sky Activ have a clicky noise. But it just seems off. Idle also sounds pretty loud. Either way I wanted to get your thoughts or if anyone has an audible buzz when tapping on the gas. I can hear it around 40-60. Thoughts?

-I am reaching 60,000 KM, dealership recommends a engine treatment, but its $189.... I think its good to do, but price is pretty high.. Wondering if I can just have my mechanic do the same thing for a lot less..Any engine maintenance or cleaning you guys recommend?

-I have good break pads all around. But the fronts keep squeaking randomly. The rotors and breaks look new. But the squeaking is very annoying.. Any ideas?

-Front drivers side also squeaks.. The springs inside make an annoying around. I opened the back side and pushed the main area up and down. The noise goes away but comes again. Real annoying.. I informed my dealership about it but they won't cover it.. Not the best quality..

-Try having someone rev the engine while your're at the engine bay so you can pin point the location of the engine buzz. Perhaps its the intake resonance. See if anything in the engine compartment is loose causing a buzzing rattle.

-Mazda does not use CVTs.

-Keep in mind that skyactiv engines startup at a higher rpm. That is normal.

-No on the engine treatment. Perhaps put a bottle of Techron if you guys have it in Canada in your gas tank. An option I highly recommend is getting the transmission fluid drained/filled with new fluid.

-At 60k KM did the dealership provide you with how much brake pad thickness you have left? If the brakes are new/good then spirited driving/slowing down should help. Then again if your region uses salt for the snow then that's another issue.
