Ran off road by 18 wheeler

I was on I-20 East coming from AL to GA going between 75 and 82 mph. There was a lime or (fart)(top of his head) green 18 wheeler on the road with me, and every time he got close to me I would go to 82 mph to get away(don't like to ride next to trucks). Well I guess I should have got a larger gap between us, but I didn't see the harm because there was 2 lanes and no real traffic in front of us to slow either of us down. Well anyway the next time I looked into my left mirror I saw him right before he pit maneuvered the s*** out of my ******* MSP and kept going. ******* asshole man.... I don't know if there is any damage to the frame or steering components. I spun into the grass median and 3 of my tires are off the rim and I don't know if they are still good or not. I assume the rims are still good. My back driver side tail light is busted and my bumper has a deep cut. I'm glad I'm alive, but why risk killing someone if you don't have to? Its not like I was holding him up because we each had our own traffic free lane. What a damn waste of a soul. Well that's all the damage I saw so far. Anyone got a LH MSP tail light for sale?

Oh and to top it off my cellphone got slung around the car and got a tear in the screen cover.

Glad that you didn't get killed or hurt. For every 1 good truck driver there seems to be 9 others that suck imo. They cannot see you, are tired or hopped up on something and generally do not give a crap if they hit you or worse. Sad but true. Best practice is to stay the heck away from them as much as possible.

One of the many truck caused accidents I witnessed involved a cement truck and a honda. 3 lane highway. I was in the left lane, truck in the middle and honda in the right. Cement truck's exit was approaching and he just turned right in to the honda, launching it infront of the truck and sending it at me in my lane. The look on the peoples faces in the honda exhibited their fear. The look on the truck drivers face exhibited his cowardice as he kept driving and got off at the next off ramp. There is no way he did not realize what he caused and did. He just wanted to get to his delivery.

Glad your ok. Must of been scary as hell for you, I tell my wife Stay away from trucks as much as you can the last time she was near one, her winshield got busted from all the rocks they toss.

Wow... what an asshat. Were you able to get his license # or anything that you could use to identify the truck?

Glad you're okay. Sorry 'bout your MSP.

I don't understand how people don't stop -.-'

glad that your ok though! Your insurance should pay for everything though.

Sorry the pics aren't great; my hands were a little shaky.
I didn't take a good picture of my muffler tip, but it was packed with dirt. I had to clear it out to start the car up.

My favorite wheel by the way!

sorry about the car, similar story happened to me before I got my MSP. Truck driver was trailing this car to the point where I know he couldn't see the tail lights anymore. Traffic started slowing down and the driver didn't notice quick enough. He swerved into my lane causing me to run off the road. Truck slams on brakes and starts to jack knife hitting every car in the lane I was in. Didn't really do too much damage other than one wheel being bent into the car and having two flat tires. America's truck drivers....(yupnope)

Holy s*** man, thats intense. That guy got massive bad karma on him now.

Be glad its just a couple of tires and a tail light, glad you and the car are ok (thumb)

theres a local here looking for a RH taillight, so if you find a pair he'd prb split it with you..

sorry to see your carnaige.

pretty damn crappy. glad youre alright, i hate driving next to trucks myself. this is a good example of why.

i will say ive blown two tires off the bead myself. wont say how, but it involved drifting a 4300 lb car with a mushy suspension and sticky ass tires a little too fast. spun 180 degrees and hit both drivers side tires into the curb and knocked them off the bead.
both tires and both rims were fine aside from some pretty light scuffs (the impact was below the rim), but one of the hub bearings was not. also somehow i managed to explain this to my parents in a believable fashion.
hopefully your bearings are OK, the wheels are obviously filled with dirt but its not like you hit something hard like a curb. you might just need some body work.

mane i feel your pain. same thing happened to me in my wagon on the high way. nobody stopped to help, nobody called the police with info, NOTHING. hope you get everything straightened out and get the msp back on the road again.
