Raise headlight on 2016 CX-5 with Tech and i-Activsense?

Hello All,

Great info about the leveling sensor, I checked mine and it was
correct. Thanks so much for bringing that out.

So, I need to raise my headlights up just a small amount, even at 40mph I seem
to be over driving my headlights, I was wondering about the Driver Height if that has
anything to do with it?

Anyway, thanks to Hardkingcor and other posts I've found where the adjustment ports are located and
also found the Up and Down Star Wheels but was wondering if anyone knows or has found information
on which way to turn each side? I have marked the position of where they are now, and think I'm moving them
in the correct location but would be nice to have someone that has done this. I really couldn't tell if I was making
any true headway and didn't test drive it at night yet. Appreciate it if anyone has any more info.

Take Care,

Craig

Saw someone mentioned in other thread that you can raise the headlights by turning the adjustment screw with a 6" long #2 Phillips screwdriver clockwise. But that's the older CX-5 so you may still need to try out for yourself.

BTW, what is your MPG especially on the highway during your long trip earlier?

Howdy Ray,

Good To See You !!!! On our 3500 mile trip we ranged from 26.8 to 28,3 was the best. Some of the roads were the Toll Roads down by Austin
running parrell and you can run 80mph up to 85mph . We were really pleased as we ran the new CX5 pretty hard and far and it performed flawlessly.

I turned the srcrews CCW on both locatiors I had read before I strarted to make they so know where is the startigng partl.

apprecaite and help. Tkae Care,

CK

That's good to hear! I do know the CX-5 has better aerodynamics at high speeds when it's loaded down. Once the rear is settled with a bit of trunk weight it becomes more efficient (if a SUV can ever be considered efficient).

Morning Mike,

I was very, very pleased with the CX5 on the whole trip, and for someone like me that only runs on the Highway's occasionally and
at about 70, getting to run legal up to 85, and errrrrrr maybe into the 95 region once or twice<G> was fun, and I liked
seeing how it performed, and actually had a lot of pedal left, more than my Wallet wanted to risk. It felt very connected to the road
and stable, the handling was very quick, it reminded me of my 1973 MGB that I had for 14yrs<G>

Man, I don't know how you saw down in that little hole... also couldn't feel anything to turn or adjust. Was kind of afraid to poke around to much. From reading, not sure if you used a blade or Phillips on the 2016. Assumed you turned clockwise to raise.

Use a Phillips. the only thing on the hole is the adjustment so don't be afraid to stick it in. I also believe you can see if you look from the inboard side, with your head down inside the engine bay. I'll see if I can get a picture. I don't remember which way turns them up or down, just have to play with it.

I took some pictures but the site won't upload them for some reason now. I'll try again later.

Doh! I see it's just a white gear on the backside of the headlight case. Looked at the back of the headlight from further up inside the engine bay. Thought that little hole went inside the headlight fixture. Pretty simple really
