Radio Problems...

Started the car up tonight and no radio....All it does is flicker faintly. I checked the fuse and it looked fine but it was dark out so I'll check again tomorrow...Its the stock MP3 Kenwood headunit. Also, when the car is on, it takes a while for it to open and close(after hitting eject), but when the car is off it opens and closes as if normal....Any ideas as to what might be causing the problem and any fixes?

Our Kenwood radio sucks, if you search for this subject matter. You will see the Kenwood MP3 had all kind of problems, I personally had mine replaced under warranty, but the problem is coming back again. The graphic is messed up on the screen, sometimes the radio doesn't turn on when i start the car...etc..

I have the Z929 or whatever one not the Z8 model so i'm thinkin mine was replaced by the original owner, but the most mine will do is either skip on big bumps or on small ones (very unpredictable) and when i try to go from like track one and skip 3-4 tracks ahead it just wont play so i'll hit eject and re-load the CD.

Mine seems to work well except for some odd bump skips, but I am thinking about changing it with something else.
