Ya Ya Ya, I can write down a bunch of s*** to but we here have used the stuff we are talking about for years(or I have). Not just 1 week or month if that.

So dude you are doing right by asking the people that have no interest/money in the game.

There is no choice. The Valentine One is the only one for several reasons. All those that you listed here and.... they are infinitely 'upgradable'. Meaning, your unit is not obsolete once you buy it. I have two V1s and have owned one of them for ~15 years.

You can't beat the speedy service at Mike Valentine's shop, either.

I am a big fan of Beltronics Vector 965; my current radar detector.
I do agree that the Valentine One is the top choice, though, I didn't have to spent $400 either. I've always wanted one, though never justified the expense...

I've had Beltronics radars for the past 8 years now and I've never gotten a ticket with one...oops, correction, I've gotten one; I was clocked (paced) by an aircraft!!! I think they have awesome warning distance and never fail to warn you. I've gotten warnings from almost 8 miles away (going over an overpass, got a warning about a Ka band that was roughly 8 miles away).

When a radar company offers different models, always stick to the more expensive models...

Good luck and let us know which you end up with...

I had the 8500 and gave it away and bought a V1. Will never go back to anything.

Once you have the Arrows you will not go to anything different.

Yeah they tell you there is a cop but not were he/she is.

Also as stated the V1 can be upgraded. No buying a new one ever 2 years.

Also I have got readings at over 2 miles away, when my friends 8500 was getting nothing.
