Ractive headers??

I ran past the shop and the guy will check it out with his dealer to make sure he can get it. He said its funny because he has a listing for it and it said that it was available for next day shipping . Our car has to cats on it. What happens to the second sensor when the 4-2-1- headers go in. Where will the second sensor tie in for the exhaust gases. (I never installed headers on a import car before, only my old hot rod and it has no sensors). I already had the secondary cat removed and a Magnaflow resonator and a Magnaflow muffler installed.

Ya you were right. The headers will not be available at this time. When he tried to put in the order for the headers it said that they will be available soon. The dude at the shop felt bad for getting me all excited. When HE can get them in I will get some and keep you poster on this topic. To get over the grief of not being able to get the headers I installed custom engine ground kit. I will start a new thread for this.

Mazdaclub... when are you gonna learn that KARBZ is not the place to buy your stuff. we have gone down there to see how well they know there stuff, and yea you dont see there stickers on my car!!! just a little advise, research before you buy from them the net has all the info you need just takes a little time...You can also get the same things from them cheeper from others, just look around a little..

Hi Haig,
The Protege header (M101) is in stock now. That's the good news, the bad
news is that the mid pipe is not available yet. You can however purchase the
header, install it and have the exhaust shop weld in an oxygen sensor port
just behind the main catalytic converter. They will also have to lengthen
the wires by about 5 feet to reach the new location. This will work well
until the Ractive mid pipe is in stock which should be in about 45 days.
Guys that have tried this say the performance is phenomenal.
With respect to the Evotion line up the titanium mufflers are now in stock,
and the lowering springs (made in Germany)will be here in a couple of days
(Protege 5 part number is EV220).

pre-cat. The reason for the placement of the second O2 behind the main cat
is to keep the engine computer sending the right fuel mixture and preventing
the check engine light from coming on. This is built into the Ractive mid
pipe which has higher flow due to its 2 1/4" I.D.
