Ractive Header Pics

i dont know the answers to those questions yet. i will sent them via email to toucan asnd see what kind of answer i can get. worse comes to worse i will get one when available and measure it and then dyno for you all.

prelimanary pricing on the header will be 179.99 plus shipping if i can get at least a few people buying it. shipping is probably around 10 to 15 dollars. only bad part about my shipping dept is that they wont allow me to ship to canada or outside the u.s. sorry guys in canada, i will try to locate a hook up for you all up there
 
should work, like the guy at toucan told me there will be some modification necessary to accomodate the 2 o2 sensor but i think both cars share the same exhaust manifold

there is also a really good article under an se-r forum that explains gains from various engine mods... keep in mind that its an se-r that they speak of but you get the general ideas. you can find it from ask.com
headers are near a must-have for n/a (naturally aspirated aka non-turbo) engines that are looking for power.

as far as canada goes could someone in the northern us volunteer for our canadian brethren?

The racing mazda header comes with a midpipe. Would anyone be interested in it? They'll be shipping out by the end of the month. PM me anyone if you are interested.
 
if there was anyone in the US that could ship to canada we could put together a big buy and get a little extra cash off of price. does everyone agree that 179 plus shipping is a good price for a group buy.

ok KYMP5, My dad actually has a FedEx account and I believe he can ship to canada from there. So I will double check that and get back to you so that hopefully the canada guys wont get left out.

to answer some questions, of course you can go back to stock, I will have to do that every 2 yrs to pass visual inspection at the emissions. It is a bolt on part meaning it can be unbolted and taken off.

What other mods are necessary, honestly I would wait for their catback system, which from the axle back I have should be awesome, to use an actuall O2 sensor, so then for now I would use the MIL eliminator made by Apex motorsports here in tempe.

If the header GB gets going I can talk to ben at Apex and see if he will let me buy like 10-15 MIL fixes if I stop buy and then ship to everyone who wants one to try for a few saved dollars there. but at 22 to start it wont matter much.

The reason I like this header the most so far is you retain you 2nd cat, so you have at least some emissions control going on, a little backpressure left and easier to install and uninstall when emissions rolls around.

you can put me down on the GB list for this, or let me know if you want me to start a thread to gauge interest in the GB forum. guesses for gains...hm racing mazda gained somtething like 10-12, with retaining the 2nd cat(which is far less restrictive than the first) I think this one should be able to make 8-10 depending on what else is done to the car. that guess could be so far off though.
 
i would personally wait until they release the cat back just to simplify installation. i know me though and know that i will probably install whichever piece comes in first.
as for doing the group buy,bijou, its nothing. ive learned som much on here its the least i can do. does the pricing sound good to everyone.
 
i swear, i'm going to go dead broke cause of this site. put me down for a header and MIL fix. i'll be ready in a month and a half.
 
with some luck ill have plenty of headers to go around since then. dont worry about going broke. debt is what life is made of
 
that is a really good price for a full catback header, that gives me time and more than enough money left over to buy my dg lip, i mean my girlfriends present.. so its goes from 4-2-1 header>>>test pipe>>>midpipe>>>exhaust? (>>>=flanges?) Also, there wouldn't be any mod to this header when released in Dec? -jay
 
yeah, definitely a 4-1 header. hooks right up (hopefully) to the second cat. you're probably going to get a CEL and will have to get the MIL fix.
