Racoon vs Protege...Round 1

So last night I was driving home and out of no-where (isnt that where they always come from? (boom01) ) a HUGE racoon darts across the road, I was going about 60mph and this freakin beast gets run the hell over....Well, kinda. He was so big that it didnt just roll under the car, but it actually shot THROUGH the lower grille (02 Pro ES) and right into the radiator.

So, long story short, I need a new / replacement lower grille. Problem is im moving to Florida on the 15th and need to drive all the way there. I assume not having a lower grille for that long of a trip isnt a good idea? Any fast and easy (cheap) replacement ideas out there?

A new lower grill is less than $30 from the stealership..dont do any ghetto quick fix, it'll look like ass int he end..just grab an oem replacement. I replaced mine a month ago from some rack damage..My 2 cents.

thats exactly what i did to my upper/lower grill and i love it!!!

the attatched pic is huge (only id you opt to expand to full size, full size allows you to see more details)

Grille's aren't expensive through the dealer, really. Mine got tagged by a box.

Thats not a bad look - and considering the dealership is 100 miles away, I might look into that. Could you elaborate on what exactly I need to buy and how you went about attaching it? Thanks for all the replies though.

I used zip ties!
Gutter guard is da shizznet.

I also gave some to a buddy of mine to put on his cobra he used glue for the lower grill.
