Yup, I just got a call from Rob at RacerX. Offered the 10K Sponsorship. The guy explained that an account with them will be set up for 10K, they will pay up to 55% for parts from selected suppliers. They can work with other companies, but savings will be less. No problems there, as most of the stuff I need or want can be bought from thier partner companies.

All I gotta do is attend 4 shows a year, put 2, 5 inch, stickers, visibly on my car, and wear thier t-shirt at the event.

The $79.00 setup fee is paid back in free shipping of ALL parts, regaurdless of shiping cost, the first year. Not a bad deal at all, especially when a hood would run atleast 100 bucks shipped

Once I, and my legal guru friend (yes he is a lawyer), read the contract, and its all cosher, I will be officially sponsored. Wo0t w0oT

got www.getsponsored.net and register there, thats what I did and sent pics of my car to the email addy there. Thats all.

We will have ot wait and see what the contract holds, and go from there. But it is the real deal.

Hmm, this seems too good to be true, they are handing out sponsorships like crazy, even big name companies have barely more than a hand full of show cars... something smells fishy, especially the 79$ setup fee, when they are giving you 10K..hmmmm

I agree that it does kinda seem fishy too. The $79.00 is yours to make back in shipping in the first year, they cover it. If you dont order parts through them, then you dont make it back with the free shipping.

I, myself cant argue it though, I do plan on ordering alot of parts through them, so I will make up the 79 bucks in shipping.

Dunno, I have not recieved the contract yet. The stickers will be in with the contract. Im getting the white with orange trim ones. Im also going to get some other custom lettering done to match them, lemme know if your brother is interested in makingthem for me. I can send a list and size I need.

I recieved the same offer this week from Racer X Motorsports. I am waiting to see what vendors and companies they work with, and also what type of products they have for the Mazdaspeed. I am a little leary about giving them any money before I have any of the details. I hope that stuff will be spelled out in the contract.

You pay the 79.00 if you accept the contract only. Thats it. If you dont want the contract after its mailed to you, you just send it back with the tshirt and stickers and your 79 bucks is not withdrawn from your account.

I just suggest reading the contract in whole when you recieve it. I should have mine today. (thats what rob told me at racerx, so Ill post more when I get home tonight.)

OK... let me start off by saying ... DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT AND CALL THEM TO SAY NO IMMEDIATELY!!!

Its a SCAM .. look at how many protege's on this board alone they have sponsored! What company will sponsor THAT many of the same thing!?

The contract states UP TO 52% off .. that means you can easily get 1% off. All they do is offer a WHOLESALE price to you -- you can probably come damn close all by yourself if you shop around. Companies like NX arent even backing this program even tho RCX lists them as a company.

Also, free shipping... yes ... IF it is stocked in their warehouse! If not, they order it from the company and you pay for the company to ship it to RCX and then from RCX to you.... free shipping my a$$.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I, and my bf, plus several of his friends have been in the show scene for numerous years and all have dealt with personal sponsorships and this is definitely not the right way to go about it.

You will end up loosing more than you gained in the end.

You have stated this before, and I take it to heart what you say, but I will at least take the time to read the contract. If it seems to be too good to be true, I can easily say no.

I got the contract by mail too and they charged the 79$Us to my credit card. I didn't sign the contact yet, because I have few questions to ask, I sent them an e-mail, they didn't replied me yet.

After reading Protege5Gurily's post, I think she is right.....
I have so many questions on my head, that's why I sent RXM an e-mail to make clear before I sign it up. Plus, I live in Canada, the douaines and the shipping will be very pricy.

Who else really signed the contract and have expereince to share with this Company (Racer X Motorsports).
