is it similar to the UR pulley?

did u need new belts?

Basically the same, and yes you need new belts. Installed mine yesterday, talk about a weight reduction over the stock pulley! I bet it's about 6lbs lighter. Easiest mod next to an intake!

2.0L Gates Belt Part Numbers:

belt 1: 040355

belt 2: 050450 or 050446

If you need to buy a different brand belt, its really easy to cross reference it.

The first 3 numbers denote the number of ribs on the belt, so "040" means its a 4 rib belt.

The last three numbers denote the length of the belt.

Most belt manufactures such as Dayco, Gates, Goodyear use the same numbering system.

Rafi

No it didn't come with them, but they're pretty cheap. And the smaller belt fits, no problem(050446).

You don't need authorization to write it. I'v written two. Just write it then post it and ask someone to move it.

there really is no need for a how to....once u get down there, it's all pretty self explanatory

1-Remove passanger wheel
2-remove plastic covers
3-get an impact socket of 13/16 (it's a perfect fit on mine)
4-loosen bolt by applying 130 pounds of pressure...having buddy put car in gear and applying barkes
5-loosen belts
6-remove pulley and replace with new pulley
7-reinstall everything

DiS did a great write up for me when i installed mine....click here....

it took me and a friend about 3 hours to do it....but now we know how to loosen the belts, we could do it in 30 minutes

hope it helps

That write-up IS awesome. The only thing it's lacking is PICTURES, for the extra paranoid like myself...

yeah if you want to post a how-to, post here and i'll move it for you.
Remove the lower engine cover on the passenger side

Then loosen the belt tensioner on the power steering pump

Next lossen the upper bracket bolt on the PS pump

Crawl under and loosen the lower bracket bolt on the PS pump

Shove in and remove belt

While underneath loosen the lower alt. bolt

Move up top and remove the bolts for the cruise control vacuum canister/control. Move it to the side

Loosen the tensioner on the alt. and lossen the upper bracket bolt

Shove in and remove belt

Next, take an impact wrench and a 21mm socket and remove the crank pulley

Installation is the reverse of removal

(For the brackets etc. you will need 10mm, 14mm, and 12-13mm sockets and wrenches)

post the complete how to as a new topic too. that way you'll get the credit for it in the how-to section

For some reason I am not allowed to post a thread there.
