Quick Question

My turbo is smoking bad and i found someone local with a turbo with only 1000km on it. Stickers are still on it, said it was taken off and a upgraded turbo was done. Anyways just wanted to make sure it was the correct turbo for mine (apparently there were different versions??) just to have as a spare in case mine craps out completely. Said the part numbers were as follows

Part Number on it is L3K9-13-700E
Apparently its a K04????

Also anything i should check when i do go to look at it?

appears to be the same. that bottom bolt opposite the thumb is a b**** to get to.

the turbo itself should say KL04 somewhere, i cant make out the numbers in that last pic...

does it say there?

My turbo is getting worse, any suggestions on what to do? I don't want to have to replace this again in another 50000 km. What should i replace it with to keep stock boost level just make it a reliable driver???
