I'd love to cruise Stateside with the Cosmo but that's a negative in this case...Maybe someday though if there was some uber special reason or event AND I had the additional funds.
As for the topic at hand...Great to see a few of you are going to be in attendance...I'm still working out my scheduling issues so I'm not sure if I can make it yet but I'll be sure keep everyone updated.
On a related note...7Stock is going down on the same weekend at Mazda NA HQ in Irvine (not too far from my Parents home in SoCal)...Another event I've been wanting to checkout for YEARS!
I'm in a bit of a "pickle" now...(uhm)
Looks like there's a good possibility that I'll be making the drive down. No details on what car / who else is going yet, but it's in the works for sure. As I find out more, I'll let you guys know. It's only like a 12 hour drive, give or take.

+1. Don't wanna sound like a cheapskate but I just returned from Orlando (Disney) and when I got back I found my repair bill for the mighty MSP was around 500 bucks. It's ok because I got some basic maintenance items out of the way but still. This would make it a lot more feaseable to come.
what did you break??
I was wondering if your still around...I see mike's miata around my work in the mornings and sometimes the afternoon driving on savoy rd.

There were just some noises that concerned me and I didn't have time to actually delve into them, so I took it to the place I've taken it since I moved back to Winder. I trust these guys too. They did a complete brake system overhaul, changed my oil (I know I can do it but I figured they were gonna have it up anyhow) and I provided my own oil and stuff to keep that cost down, then they also replaced all my belts (which were apparently all cracking and worn), lastly they found that I had a power steering o-ring go a-wall on me so I was getting an inlet air leak.
They also checked a few minor things but it was mostly just that my brakes were causing the wheel to shake when I get on them hard, they were making rubbing/warbly (sorry, it's the only way to describe it) noises, and were sqealing really badly the longer I stayed on them. Oh, I forgot that they also replaced my brake fluid. I know it's all stuff I could've done or gotten some of youse guys to lend me a hand with but like I said, I was busy and I can't have my car down during the week when I need it. Since I was out of town anyhow, I wouldn't miss it's use.
In either case, the noisey belt when I crank the car up is gone, the brake pedal is nice and firm again, no noises when I come to a stop, and I didn't realize how much an o-ring can make a difference in the steering. I was happy with the service. A little costly I think but as said, I trust them.
