There is a good spot on the firewall, directly behind the battery and low on the firewall. You can normally slip a power wire in with other wires entering the car through a grommet there on the firewall.
Another entry point - if you have an antomatic - is the plastic piece that covers the opening in the firewall that the clutch would go on a stick shift. You can drill thru the plastic covering to make an opening for the power wire.
I used the first alternative. It was quick and easy, once you find the spot. I have two power wires coming into the car here, an 8 and a 10 guage wire. Both fit wit no problem.
Once through the hole in the firewall, you can grab them from the driver's footwell and pull them through. From there routing through the car is a snap.
The turn on lead for my car is connected to one of the switched fuses in the fuse box. This leaves the amp on whenever the car is on or in the accessory postion. I have the factory head unit which does not have a remote turn on lead. If you are using an after market head unit, it should have a remote lead. You can tap off that and it will turn the amp on and off with the head unit.
