ok we just bought a kit for my buddys 3, so i have some questions for you
i talked to ken and he said we need to buy injectors cuz the 3's will not work so where did you guys get yours?
how much boost can we run safely with the t-28?
have any of you ran the greddy emanage blue?
how much was it to tune yours?
i just want to know what all needs to be done and what else would be needed to do this with the least amount of down time

thanks for any info

First off is his car auto or manual the reason i ask this is because for one its been highly recommended to upgrade the trannies vavlebodies (automatic only)

How much boost does he want to run? And what brand is the turbo?

I highly suggest he sell the greddy unit, ive heard nothing but horror stories with them not wanting to work with the mz3 engines at all, i would suggest AEM or Haltech.

Yea what wanna3 said. We will need a little bit more details on what kind of set up he plans on using. Also you have the option to use XFC fuel computer & Split Second as well.

also we dont want to run crazy boost and blow the motor haha we just wanted to know the safe high we could run and what we should run for normal driving

ken told me to call them too haha,i was just hoping someone knew a place that has them made or if anyone had experince turboing a regular 3

your local tuner shop might sell bosch style injectors that i believe that should fit onto the stick clips

maybe ill make my way up to SLS and talk to them haha. damn injectors are screwing us haha any one ever use the greddy emange blue?

Akaveli wanna3 where you go haha

lol No where. When it come to boosting 3s I don't know alot in that area but from researching around I see some boosted 3 running, 39lb. matched ford injectors, 480cc Injectors, Bosch Fuel Injectors. etc..etc. As far as how much psi is safe, I would say bwt 6psi to 8psi. As for greddy emange blue system I can't find ANY boosted 3 using that system for their turbo or custom kit. I would stick too Split Second, AEM FIC, PCS XFC Fuel Computer or Haltech.

hey thanks for the info bro, the only reason i ask is cuz the kit me bought comes with that ecu thing, i know the haltech is a good one we were just hoping not to spend any more money

Hey... looks like you got some good info already, but I turbo'd my '06 3. I changed my injectors, clutch, (ACT makes a nice performance kit but you will reuse your stock t/o bearing and fork). I'm running an AEM FIC also. It would be good to go to a colder plug. I bought a turbo kit so it came with everything, but I'm running the same Garrett GT28R turbo, and I'm running 8 lb psi. That's safe without changing any internal engine components. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll try to help. My car had a few quirks at first so I've got some experience with that, but she's a beast now and running great.

hey thanks for your reply bro, what injectors did you use? we got a stage 1 clutch and flywheel put in already but how hard was it to run the AEM FIC? would it be better to sell the emanage and get that one? what plugs are you using? like i said im a msp guy so i dont know much about the 3 haha

call tripoint

i wouldn't run an emanage. i honestly don't see why - other than price - that thing is so popular. spend a little more money for a much more capable system. the FIC is really darn nice for the price. split second does make a unit that is pre-tuned for boosted 3 applications, but you will need larger injectors for that unit.
