I know his tint deal has been talked about over and over on these threads, but I have read thru them and cannot find anything on vehicles that are registered back on the mainland.

I have 35 on my Driver/Pax and 20 on my rear windows, The vehicle is and will remain registered in Georgia.

Also, in Georgia we are only issued one license plate (for the back) Will I get crap for not having a front plate since it is registered in Georgia?

Any answers will be much appreciated. Thanks all.

For Oahu, it is 35% tint all around for all passenger vehicles. You can have up to 2" on the top of your windshield at 35% as well.

License plates must be mounted on the front bumper and back (wherever the OEM placement of the plate should be on the vehicle) of your vehicles.

So that is regardless of where the car is registered? IE Georgia doesnt provide front plates.

Can check w/ DMV and HPD later on. Not sure if they let it slide until you are provided w/ Hawaii plates. I do see out-of-state plates frequently on the road...however you are supposed to get them changed w/ in a certain time frame. I just know our PD has been getting really strict lately. Let me get back to you on that.

Thanks BeNeg, I am in the Military, so typically they dont make us change our plates, but I am not sure about Hawaii.
