Hey i was curious if there is a difference between the blue top greddy bov and the purple. is the purple only type s and the blue is rs?

I don't know which color is which but the type S (I believe the purple) is for lower boost applications like our cars and the type RS is a larger BOV for higher HP cars. They sound different as well, the type S is much higher pitched

okay. i bought a greddy blow off valve from a member and he said it was a type s.. honest mistake im sure... it is blue topped.. so will it work alright with the car since it isnt HP by any means.. lol

the only difference is probly the internal spring or whatever system it uses. bov's are all practically the same they all make equally ricey sounds lol sorry

lol thats fine. that is something ricey that i will enjoy! haha and you think i could replace the spring with a type r spring and probably get the type r sound? anyone wanna send there spring???? =D

oh but if i want it to work properly i would probably need to change the spring because my car doesnt have high enough hp? is that correct?

The boost is what dictates which spring to use but I doubt the springs are interchangeable between the models considering the RS has a larger piston/diaphragm.
