someone backed into my car yesterday and scratched my paint up a lil bit on my back bumper not to bad but noticeable. and the paint being s*** theres a few scratches here and there how much does it cost to get it touched up. or could i got o auto zone buy that touch up spray paint and spray a coat on and wax it up a bit? will that look good or hella cheap? it says it suppose to match the color of the car no matter what lol but. anyways thanks

it wont match on black mica. its extremely difficult to match a paint w/ flake.

if you could take pictures of the damage i could help you.

Man, no lie. I'd think trying to match that up would be a serious headache.

take a black waterproof marker (felt marker) it works very well. try it before you laugh. i traded in a black MX5 and the trade in dude did not find any scratches. dont be sloppy, just cover the white part. i even use it on my blue truck. and its cheap. (for those of you scratching your head, i use a BLUE one for the truck)

+1 I used a black perminent marker when turning in a mariner lease and it had been rear ended and the bumper scratched to hell, passed lease turn in inspection with flying colors...

go to the dealer and order a bottle of touch up paint. It is really inexpensive. Depending on the scratches, heres what id do/did.

Get a small piece of rubber or plastic that wont scratch the paint. Take the paint from the dealer apply more than you need and use the rubber/plastic as a squeegee to smooth it out. Then wipe up the excess.

It worked great

Or if your State carries and you have UMPD coverage on your policy, make an insurance claim if you don't know who the actor was. Should be very cheap or no deductible and non-chargeable as well
