Question for drunkies

I'm finally getting my ghetto lazy ass in gear and buying a flask.

But I'm trying to find something to fill it with... i want something pretty potent, but also something that I can drink 6-8oz of not feel rank.

vodka, rum and whiskey are out of the question... I LOVE Tequila - but I find that at -10degrees, it's not as welcome as in the summer months.

anybody have any good "flask recipies" that they'd like to share?

(naughty)

hmmm. i wonder if the liquor store will let me try some?
That's something i've never justified buying cuz it's so pricey, and I don't know if it'll be my style...... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Bummer you said no rum.

Some of the dark stuff can be very warm and earthy. I <3 captain morgan private stock.

Could always fill it with baileys ;)

mmm. baileys.. but that's my bedtime drink LOL

hahaha.. in Ontario, the LCBO will usually have some sort of liquor or wine for tasting... but that's usually just on weekends :(

How about Brandy? Best cold-weather drink, imho.

3/4 shot of baileys, 1/4 shot of jameson wiskey, drop it into 1/2 A guiness and pound it.

IRISH CAR BOMB!

Sambuca... if you like that warm feeling and if you want to do a cool party trick the black catches fire. Blow it out shot it and then snort the fumes and you have a flaming bong hit (thats only the black IIRC). They have alot of flavors.

make a mojito - tequila, lime juice and sugar cane. mmmmmm

Starry Nights are also good on cold days 1/2 Goldschlager & 1/2 Jagermister. It's like drinking a pepermint.

1/2 Goldschlager & 1/2 Jagermister: that's also known as a liquid cocaine :)
I think I'm going to go for baileys.. we're having buttered rum for drunkinness... so i think bailey's should hold me drunk :)

No way, man 100 proof Rumple-minze peppermint schnapps. Will get you good and ******-up!

Edit: on a side note, pick up some "Chaser", too. This stuff absolutely kicks a hangover's ass. You take two pills before your first drink, then two more 2 hours later. You feel a little groggy the next morning for about a 1/2 hour....then you're fine!

heheh.e nice part about being french canadian - no hangover (boom05)

I'm pretty sure Bailey's will be the choice for the day... something smooth that's WAY better cold.

Mojito is rum, lime juice, sugar, and mint

i know u said no to vodka but listen up:

1 shot stolli vanilla vodka
1 shot kahula
1 shot amereto
then top it off with whole milk

Not the strongest but enought to keep the buzz going and its so smooth. Good enought to strike up the conversation with the ladies and say hey try a sip! (cheers) (blarf) (blackp5)

hmm. well i haven't decided what to use yet... so suggestions are still welcome... i looked at bailey's.. but at 14% alcohol - that probably won't even keep me drunk (boom08)
I may as well just fill the flask with wine, lol

Well, since you are going to put it in a flask you want to stay away from liquoers. THey are too sticky and will get the flask all sorts of nasty. Anything sticky is going to do that. My buddy has a flask that he put something in and now the cap is IMPOSSIBLE to get off.

I drink single malt scotch so that would be my recommendation. I like "The Glenlivet" as an old standby but I usually keep a bottle of "Laphroiag" or "Oban" handy.

Scotch, scotchy, scotch, I love scotch.

Paul, I'd fill it with Hot Toddy.

Melt 4 Tbsps of sugar in a pot, until it becomes liquid (stir often to prevent it from burning).
Add 1 cup of Water.
Add 1 cup of Brandy (I prefer Plum Brandy).

If you like it sweeter, add a bit more sugar to taste after you have mixed in the water and brandy.

Remember kids: you don't want to put anything in your flask that is acidic or has sugar in it. Just straight booze; no mixing.
