Rac3rX said:Injen 2 years not changes in winter no issues at all, I clean the fileter at the end or each summer.
Im in Montreal Quebec Canada also.
Never any starting issues or nothing.
MaDz said:no cells, nothing?
im a little scare to leave it on, but thx for the info!
Rac3rX said:Nope, no CELs no ruff starts, nothing at all but a great intake and well protected in the bumpre (Ive seen ITR CAI's and they scare me) Winter is the least of my worries, there arnt as many lake size puddles in the winter, THOSE you need to be carefull with.
Get motor mounts though, there is alot more throttle responce and it makes easy mush out of the stock mounts.
patmaz said:i live in the mtl area, and never took off my cai during winter, simply modified it so its a short ram for winter, but if you leave down into the fender,be sure to have a good filter, like a k&n that is washeable...for me never had any trouble....
MaDz said:how can you do that? I have a sensor plugging in the 2nd piping going down,
if it wasnt for that sensor, would be easy to remove that last piping and stick the filter after the map sensor.....
help me out..I have the 2.0 engine, I was thinking about winter we get here and snow isnt all that matters, what about those slushy days .. where it's slush all over(slush? sp) im french, maybe it won't make any sense
thx for the info and help guys, apreciated!

Rac3rX said:Take a peice of 3" pipe thats about 9" long, and attach it after the MAF and before the filter.
ok but I have another sensor that plugs into the 2nd pipe, something like this:
throttle---\
............... \
................. ---map---\
................................. \
.................................... ----another sensor\
................................................................ \
.................................................................. \
.................................................................... -filter around wheel.
it has a black rubber thingie in the pipe, where I would connect that second sensor, this is my problem..if it wasnt for this one, I think that would be fairly easy...:/
If it is any help, I live in canada.. I hears in the simota gb that we have different engines from some other places....Maybe im wrong..i dont really know what im doing:/
Rac3rX said:Yeah its a b**** like that.
But the Ebay intake has the sensor, Cut the portion of the pipe that has the sensor bung. Look how you want it to fit in the engine and cut it to how it will fit best.
Put it between the MAF and filter and atach the sensor to it.
Rac3rX said:The Ebay Intakes has the same pipe as the Injen that I have, so this pic should show what I mean.
If you already have your Pipe from the throttle to the MAF, do the folowing to the ebay intake.

This way you can switch it back for summer because you will still have all the parts from your Main intake.
