I recently had the task of removing my bumper to replace the fog/driving lamps bulbs. So while I had the bumper I off I notice that these little fella's bulbs were blown. I replaced them and tried to see if they work. Well no go, tired different methods but none worked. I figured it was a fuse or something. I have no idea what fuse controls this thing or why it's not working. Does anybody have any idea's as to why this thing is not working.

Also do they work when the turn signal is on or are they there for general light purpose?

I don't know about the fuse, but I can tell you they are not turn signals, they're just flares. They just come on with your parking/head lights.

Check the connector for loose connections. As stated, you removed the bumper so you should have noticed the connector on the passenger front side behind the bumper. The fog lights and side markers travel on it. There has to be a loose connection or short somewhere along the line. Jiggle it around or get a multimeter and try the contacts on the connector or try different points of the line to see if there is poweer going through the wire as there may be a break in the line or something.

Also as stated they are " Front Side Marker Lights " or refered to at times as parking lamps as the P5 doesn't have them integrated into the headlamps like the Sedan's do.
