Hi all. I'm new here and have a question about the remote keyless entry on my 2008 Mazda 3 S. My husband and I just bought this car 2 weeks ago and the remotes haven't work since we got it. My husband, a Mechanic/ Maryland State Inspector, has tried all of the reprogramming steps that he's found online with no luck. He took the car into work and hooked it up to his computer and it kept giving him an error message saying that there is no RKE module. So, we bought a used RKE module on Ebay, to replace the one in the car, thinking that was the problem. It didn't help. We don't know if it's the module or something else. Has anyone else had these problems? If so, what have you had luck doing about it? We replaced the batteries in both remotes and that didn't help either. I tried the whole reprogramming sequence and it wouldn't do the automatic lock/ unlock until I closed the door at the end, which from what I read it should have done while still opened. When I closed the door it locked/ unlocked twice then I pressed the remote button twice but still no luck. I hate to sound like a dumb woman but we need help. We've been messing with this thing for 2 weeks now and even took it to the dealer. They told us our car wasn't equipped with an RKE module but we know it is in the car because we found it and tried replacing it with another after taking it to the dealer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, my husband checked all of the fuses on the whole car along with the passenger junction box (I think that's what it's called) and couldn't find anything wrong.
