question about mx6

ok my gf's sister just bought a 1994 mx6 a month or so ago, runs and drives great until last week when the tranny started to shift funny (automatic) she has seen the "hold" button for awhile but didnt understand what it was for. so i checked it out, put it in Park, held the hold button and it went off. Now she just went for a drive up north with it and it came on again, i told her what to do but it won't work. So my question is what is the hold button for/what does it affect, plus how the hell do i get it off?!?!

hey, i had the same problem, and i took it in to get the transmission checked and they told me the hold button was for over drive, and thats how you will no the transmission is going, is if the hold is flashing on and off, i would say she should get the transmission checked
