question about MSP turbo on P5

interesting.. haha.. so do i install it on the MBSP?? since all FS engines have it?? or do i really have to get the MBSP from the MSP?
i did on my set up! i would if you have it...im not sure if you could just tap the peace you have above in the mp5 mbsp or not? i didnt want to....

Don't cut corners if you are not sure. Better to do it right now, then waste time an money doing it right later. I'd get the MBSP for the MSP.

Get the MBSP from the MSP.

On another note: Can someone verify for me which direction the arrow on the stock MSP BPV points in the flow of the air?

Don't know about the arrow, but the vaccum nipple should face the front of the car.

on one side of the BPV, there should be an arrow. Is that arrow pointing towards your airbox or towards the charge pipe?

the arrow should point to the t/b and the vac line nipple points to the front.

this may be a dumb question, what is a BVP? the "pop off"? I'm in the process of a turbo install also so I'm reading all of these I can. Also where are the best places to put the vacuum lines for the BOV and for a boost guage?

it's ''bpv''...it stands for ''By Pass Valve''. for a good vac source tap into the brake booster line. there's a thread on here about it......it wrks really good!

Ok, then I must have my BPV installed backwards then, because I could have sworn that the arrow should point towards the air intake, indicating that the air flows from the charge pipe to the intake when the tb is slammed closed. Your saying this is not correct. I've posted another message where a guy said the opposite of what your saying. Sorry to be a bother, but I just want to make sure I have it installed correctly.

oh, and I was suppose to let you know about the speed sensor. My speedometer works fine. I have the stock es tranny and the MSP turbo setup bolted on minus the ic, and I retrofited the Injen msp intake on it. rubs on the plasitc outside of the radiator fan, but no big deal.

yes....on mine car the arrow the points to the intake mani!

hey 1fastmp5, if i get the MSP ecu, i wouldn't have to get anything else such as a FMU and fuel pump right? all i would need is a stock BPV and possibly a BOV right? thanks.

yep! get the stock msp ecu and wont have to worry about s***!
just make sure to use the stock bpv or aftermaket bpv.......if to run open vent bov you will run into stalling problems.

Where did you get your MSP ECU from? I would really like to do it that way instead of all that add on stuff. Im not doing an exact msp conversion, but it will esentially be the same setup. T25, FMIC, BPV, custom made Mani, Should I have any probs with running the MSP ECU, do you think? Also did you guys change out your injectors? And what about a better fuel pump/regulator? or are they same as the stock ones?

You would be better off getting some type of computer like the MPI, Haltech, Microtech or AEM. They would give you better control and make it safer when you're ready to up the boost. If you're going to spend money on the MSP ECU, you might as well spend it in the right way that you give YOU control. Figure out how much power you are looking for and decide from there. The MPI is $795 and will give you all the control you need. No need for bigger injectors or a different fuel pump either. Here's more info:

If all the BPV does is open, doesn it really matter which way it faces?

it should. Most use a diaphram that lifts up to let the air by. If the air is going in the wrong way it will push down on the diaphram holding it closed.
