Question about blown engines

Is it the earlier model 2007 and 2008 that are blowing engines or do 2009 an up also blow engines. I had my speed 3 tuned at surgline and when i was there they told me that there was a design flaw in the earlier engines. The crankshaft thrust bearings (which hold the crank from going side to side) were to weak causing them to mushroom out in time due to clutch action. this causes the crankshaft to be miss aligned and adds side load to the rods which they aren't designed for so in time the rods break. If you drive your car aggressivly which we all do, thats why most poeple buy speed 3's, the faster the thrust bearing gets beat down by the stiff clutch. this is just what i was told i could be wrong but this does make sense.

Hmmm, possible. But, I own an 07 with 93k on the clock (second owner) and its running just perfectly. Ile look into myself to see if its truth and if it is, if its possible to correct. :)
