Quest to find cheaper BA RC820 components

Did you hear back from them yet? Just listened to the Rally 6.5" components at a local electronics store and they sounded pretty nice, although how they sound in a car is obviously not quite the same. Talked to the dude and he said the store discontinued the rc820's for some reason? He gave me a BA brosure thing and the rc820 weren't even in it ...

edit - as far as the RC820s being discontinued, i doubt it, they are still listed on the BA website. prolly just hard to get.

Yea, what I meant was the store I went to, Ultimate Electronics, had discontinued the rc820 model for some reason, not BA themselves. But it was wierd that those speakers weren't in the Rally Component handout thing the sales guy gave me. He said they could order them no prob, but again I ain't payin full retail for them.

I guess the demand for a 5x7 component system mainly comes for Ford owners and that's exactly who BA is trying to target with the rc820 and the fs80 models.

I guess it won't be until the 12th or after until we find out if we can save some $$ on these. Till then my system continues to collect more dust in the basement.

i just got my nx67s yesterday. they will just sit until i find rc820s. if it gets much past the 15th when i get paid ill just pay 330 for the set.

mattew, why not just go for the rc-620's? i have them and they are great. i got them because i am really into sound quality. i dont care if you have 8 subs and can blow out store windows, if you cant HEAR the music, its worthless. i listened to tons of speakers and a soon as i heard these i bought them. i chose them over the jl's, mb, alpines, kenwoods, and everything else....you will not be dissappointed..

of course the only reason i got the rc's is because i couldnt afford the z series $1000 - (wow)

ok so who can get them to my door cheaper than 350 bucks? ive called around in oklahoma but everyone wont seem to budge off of 330, and id have to spend money to drive 1.5hrs to okc to pick them up or pay for them to ship, so i figure around 345-350 total cost. if you know a place or can help me out in some way let me know, i plan on purchasing them on the 15th.

it is very hard to find the 820's.....our tweeter had them on clearance a few months ago. personally i liked the 620's better. also, there is no modification that needs to be done for the 620's.
