quaife Differential

I know Mazdaspeed Motorsports carries them for other Mazda's...they may have the 3 part if it's available.

the catch is, ya gotta be a member. If you're not a member, talk to Sabrina at Showcase Mazda.

thanks much.

I believe racer price is $1390 through Mazdaspeed. That's a pretty fair price.

Does this one still need modification to fit the Mazda3? If so not a fair price to me.

I wasn't saying your price is not fair. I am just trying to shop around for a product I don't know alot about. All your offerings are much appreciated.

Not actually sure if you have to modify them yet. We haven't had anyone do it for the 3

No problem. I was just letting you know that if you can get the racer price you should take it. I can't match that but I can come real close if you are willing to put one in a 3 and give me details, and if possible some pics, on what is required to make it work.

I appreciate the offer. I am still gathering input on this product as I know very little about it. After hearing about a modification being needed It just adds one more thing for me to research. I would sure love to have it installed along with my clutch and fly but if I have to have my mechanic do alot of modifictaion I may rethink the timing of the purchase until I know more.

If anyone has more information about this by all means please add to the topic.
Thanks
Brian.

I am trying to find out what possible modifications would be needed if any. That way i dont get stuck with paying for the extra hours on the lift. Id at least want to give him some sort of heads up..

I did some looking around and modification seems to be only needed if you are changing gears. "But" that is one the old protege tranny, so I have no idea if it applies to ours or not. But I do remember someone trying it to the Mazda3 and it need modification, but I'm sure they were not leaving the stock gears in as it is a race car.

The person I spoke with mentioned some possible minor clearance issue with the "shift selector"? but "none" that he was aware of.
